Using Mobile Devices to Learn Music

hen I wrote the first Music and the Home Computer article nearly twenty years ago, a computer was a big beige box which sat under your desk, used a lot of space, had limited capabilities and helped heat the room. At that time, computers were still used mostly in offices and by "geeks". Advancements in mobile technology have now so blurred the definition of what a computer really is that it is time to think about what you can do to aid your learning and appreciation of music using your mobile device (smartphone, tablet computer, etc.)
