Personally created teaching materials - Your materials and the larger world

Talk with other teachers, exchange tips, participate in polls regarding a teaching studio business

Many teachers have written many times in the Forums about teaching materials that they have prepared for use in their own studios, either to supplement existing commercial materials or to provide entirely different approaches to teaching and learning. Some of them have been willing to share these with others freely; others are trying to market the materials in some way, usually over the Internet.

Although we don't allow outright advertising on PEP (and such advertising material placed in posts is rapidly deleted), it would be interesting to hear from teachers about their own experiences preparing, providing and/or marketing their personally prepared teaching materials. What materials have you prepared, how have you prepared them, and what motivated you to do so? How do you use them? If your materials are being commercially marketed, what tips can you give other teachers who might be trying to do the same with their materials?

Although I don't really want product testimonials here (product web site locations can be placed in your personal profile and accessed via the "world" icon below your posts), even commercially available materials can be discussed in this thread, so long as the discussion relates to the motivations behind the materials and does not constitute simply a sales pitch. If you're willing to allow personally prepared materials to be used free by other teachers, we'd definitely like to hear from you here!
