CD players aren't completely out of style yet lol. Anything works. The ipod idea came from my undergraduate studies, new age classes lol.

I burn CD's onto my mp3 player - pieces I am learning myself or else songs I am teaching (any method book I've seen lately comes with a CD). I set the mp3 up with a speaker system right by the piano so it is really handy to work with. Although I can burn CD's I still have to get my son to show me how to download off the internet!

I do the same thing, though with my laptop. I have a small speaker system (made for ipods) and I set it up right on top of my piano for easy listening reference.

I guess I need my 11 year old grand daughter to help with with all this technical stuff! Maybe over Thanksgiving holiday, she will have some time. She will enjoy it - she loves the computer and her Ipod!
