Master class

Discuss the piano literature and how to teach and learn it

Postby pianogal » Mon Aug 06, 2007 1:56 pm

I'm about to have a master class later this month, very nervous about it.

Is it so different from private lessons?

No need to be nervous - it's lots of fun and you learn a lot! The more you keep from getting nervous the more you can focus on learning from it.

What kind of master class is it? With your teacher or other?

With another Famous teacher. Perhaps that's why I'm nervous.

I don't know if it will help with your nervousness, but we have another long thread, Master Classes that has lots of information about master classes. You may also be interested in our article, Master Classes. Good luck!

I apologize for forgetting to write how my master class went. :D It was over a week ago.

Anyway, it went pretty well. I was nervous all that time until my turn. As soon I got on that stage, I calmed down a lot, almost forgot about other students' present. It was a great and fun experience! I wished for more!

And thank you again for all the great advice!
