Any suggestions for a violin/piano duet?

Play more than piano? Interested in a different instrument, including voice? Talk about it here.

A friend of mine and I are planning on performing together next year, and we're trying to pick pieces. Anybody have favourites for a violin and piano ensemble? We're not looking for the most technical piece, but ones that have audience appeal.

How about some of the Fritz Kreisler pieces like 'Liebeslied'? Some are not too difficult, and they gained great popularity in their time. There are also a ton of transcriptions of popular piano, vocal and orchestra stuff like 'Traumerei', Schubert's 'Serenade' and 'Ave Maria', and the Bach Arioso.

Go to publishers' websites--Theo. Presser, Schirmer, etc.--and look at their listings for Violin/Piano.
