What do you look for in a student?

Postby Dr. John Zeigler - PEP Ed » Wed May 06, 2015 9:17 am

While there are a very large number of isolated comments in these Forums related to the issue of what teachers might want to see in a student, we have not examined the issue directly. There are a number of qualities which come to mind (hard working, dedication, preparation, etc.), I suspect that both teachers and parents could offer their own ideas on this important topic. I hope that such a discussion will help students become better, happier students of the piano.
All religions, arts and sciences are branches of the same tree. All these aspirations are directed toward ennobling man's life, lifting it from the sphere of mere physical existence and leading the individual towards freedom. - Albert Einstein
